RugbySmarts co-founder and CTO William Johnstone was working with Connacht Rugby and Corinthians RFC and discovered that the current process for video analysis is manual, extremely time consuming and very laborious for rugby coaches.
After spending countless hours coding, analysing and editing matches to help improve the performance of the teams he worked with, William was inspired to apply his knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and video manipulation to develop a better way. Once the concept was proved took a journey through New Frontiers to create an organisation that transforms and revolutionises the video analytics landscape.
